Since 2001, The North Carolina Bootblack Contest has showcased the skills, service heart, dedication, and spirit that shines through in bootblacks across the state. By acting as educators, mentors, role models, and spokespeople throughout their title year, the goal of the North Carolina Bootblack is to promote and celebrate the diversity of the Bootblack and Leather community both locally and regionally. The titleholder goes on to compete at SouthEast LeatherFest for one of the regional titles offered.
The North Carolina Bootblack title is open to any contestant, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, D-type or s-type affinity, or choice of leather/fetish/kink lifestyle.
The North Carolina Bootblack contest is held every July at the Tarheel Leather Club Stars and Stripes run. Find more information about the weekend at https://tarheelleatherclub.org/tlc-stars-and-stripes-run/.
